The Society organises visits to museums, dealers and private collections. Amongst many we have been granted sight of specific collections at the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, Kimonos at the British Museum, Textiles from Dunhuang at the Victoria and Albert Museum. At the Burrell Museum, Glasgow, we were shown their Suzanis being conserved. We visited the fabulous Keir Collection in Ham, Surrey before it was bequeathed to the Berlin Museum.

Curators have always been exceptionally generous with their time and expertise, showing us treasures not normally seen by the public.

Trips abroad have included Iran, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Morocco, France, Armenia and Egypt. Future trips will include Gujarat, India in September 2016.
